Mannerism:
Mannerism was a sixteenth century art form that focused more directly on detailed, not necessarily realistic works, many in which feature the slight, barely-noticable deformation of proportions in the human body. Artist Giorgio Vasari coined the term Mannerism. Andrea del Sarto was another influential Mannerism artist. Much of Mannerism referenced itself from great artists such as Michelangelo and Raphael.(Heilbrunn)
